Family
Belgian families and family businesses
At first glance, Family Homestorys may not seem spectacular. Look a little closer, and they are perhaps the most important part of our lives: living with the people closest to us. Let’s explore how everyday family life can become more enjoyable. Along the way, meet our family businesses, ROM and Mobitec.
ROM
Comfortable family sofas, made individually for you
If you are looking for a new centrepiece for family life, a ROM sofa could be just right.
Your made-to-measure sofa
Together with your advisor, design your ideal sofa on an iPad. Choose the model, size in 10 cm increments and upholstery, then specify details such as reclining or heated seats, seat firmness and depth, feet and contrasting stitching.
ROM1961 then makes the sofa as an individual piece for you. Long experience combined with industrial production enables ROM to offer excellent value.

Mobitec
A passion for made-to-measure chairs and tables
Since 1990, Mobitec has stood for individual chairs and tables in timeless Belgian design. It has grown into Belgium’s largest chair manufacturer.
Comfort and enjoyment around the family table
Mobitec chairs make long gatherings around the table a real pleasure.
Their construction is robust, and many upholstery options are easy to maintain. This applies not only to leather but also to AquaClean fabrics, which can simply be wiped with water. Mobitec offers an ideal setting for real Family Homestorys, for customers who value beautiful design, sustainability and comfortable seating.

The small joys of everyday family life
What does it take to have a happy family, a happy marriage and happy children?
There is probably no universal recipe. Our contentment depends not simply on how well things are going objectively, but on how we interpret our circumstances. When we look positively at our experiences, other people and our family, happiness can arrive like a ray of sunshine. We cannot force it to stay, but in my experience, believing in it helps us recognise it when it returns.
Have you ever thought about appreciating your family just as it is? Life is short, as some of us have already learned. Enjoy the journey with your perfectly imperfect family. Looking back in ten, twenty or thirty years, you may wish to relive a moment that passed too quickly to savour. Enjoy every aspect of your home, and whenever possible, make your shared dreams come true.
