The right indoor climate
– the foundation for long-lasting furniture
Mobitec furniture is designed for indoor use and responds sensitively to changes in temperature and humidity. The ideal room temperature is 18–21°C (64–70°F) with a relative humidity of 45–55%. Too dry air—such as from underfloor heating or proximity to radiators—can cause wood to crack and upholstery fabrics or leather to dry out.
Always lift your table—never drag it, to protect both the furniture and the floor.
Check chair gliders: They should be suitable for your flooring type.
Use table extension mechanisms according to the manual only.
Avoid direct sunlight, especially on natural wood or leather, to prevent color changes.
Vacuum fabrics along the grain regularly or wipe gently with a slightly damp cloth (never use microfiber cloths or steam cleaners).
In case of spills: blot immediately, do not rub.
Pro Tips:
Some fabrics feature AquaClean technology – many stains can be removed using just water.
Always use distilled water to avoid limescale marks.
Fluff and rotate cushions regularly to prevent uneven wear.
The more natural the leather, the more delicate it is. Aniline and suede leather are especially sensitive to moisture – blot stains immediately with an absorbent cloth and never rub.
Important Notes:
Keep leather away from sunlight and heat sources.
Do not use solvents.
Pigmented leather is more robust and easier to maintain.
Whether solid or veneered, wood is a living material that changes over time. For daily care: dust with a soft or slightly damp cloth, always in the direction of the grain.
Avoid microfiber cloths, steam cleaners, or abrasive products.
Maintenance Tip:
Oil natural surfaces once or twice a year using the recommended oil.
Clean lacquered finishes with mild soapy water and dry thoroughly afterward.
Ceramic: heat-resistant and easy to clean, but sensitive to edge impacts.
HPL (High Pressure Laminate): durable and hygienic—still, use coasters and cutting boards.
Fenix: ultra-matte, soft-touch, antibacterial—minor micro-scratches can be repaired with a magic eraser.
